The MNGK-38 is designed to measure the coefficient of water-saturated porosity of rocks by neutron gamma logging.
The principle of measurement is to irradiate the rocks with fast neutrons and to record the gamma radiation resulting from this capturing, installed at a fixed distance (60 cm) from the source by a NaI(Tl) detector.
