Based on the same technology as its predecessor the TORNADO-25 Silicon Sapphire Memory Gauge, this gauge welds the sapphire sensor with the housing, thus reducing the potential leaking that can pass between the sensor and the housing. Both metal to metal and elastomer seals are used to secure the seal between the battery housing and the electronics. A six pin locking mechanism connector is used to provide dual power channels and prevent battery disconnection during operations.
